Various livestock and produce are raised on this mixed farm, using natural and organic practices. A large kitchen garden with herbs and fruit trees supply the kitchen with fresh produce, while a small herd of Nguni cattle, pigs and chickens are reared for the pot. The supply of ingredients is augmented by game from the region, as well as fish from its rivers and dams. The focus is on fresh and natural produce from which the maximum flavour can be coaxed.
